The game being called off at least means that most of the teams around us will lose the game in hand over us.....just so long as they don't take advantage of it today ;)

Yup, that's how I see it. This and the Charlton postponement may both come back to haunt us, as there was no better time to play either of them, and both are likely to strengthen by the time we rearrange.

I don't see underhand tactics either, although, I do wonder if, had form been the other way around, they may have pulled out all the stops to make the area safe, even if that involved closing that stand, whereas, it suits them to leave it!

That said, with the high winds continuing, I wouldn't want to be the workman who is up at that height trying to make it safe!

So how did that work out then?

Look on the bright side. Potentially for a home win next week, making 4 unbroken successive wins at home. An away loss would have demoralised the lads, but now they've got something to work towards - how many years is it since we had unbroken consecutive 4 wins, and have we ever done it with consecutive home games!

With my head for heights, I wouldn't want to be up on a roof at the best of times! You know those Youtube videos of people standing on the edge of cliffs and stuff? I can literally feel sick just watching on TV!

For a very welcome change results went our way and if rumours are correct the absence of both Cole and Kieran due to injury could have made our attacking options limited.....so it's been a relatively good day even if we were absent from the office.

:D :D :D

Just rumours regarding Cole and Kieran

Alan Nixon did say on Radio Lancashire Friday evening that Cole wouldn't be moving due to an injury though

Maybe a striker could be signed in the window ???

He can be a pain in the ass and he`s not my favourite but he does get quite a lot right (and quite a bit wrong)

Hopefully Phillips / Cole or both will be available for the Port Vale game next week
