Shoot whenever you can….

Shoot whenever you can….

This was brought home on Saturday. We have conceded deflected goals to numerous teams this season, and I can only recall Alfie’s at Wycombe being a deflected goal for us before Arthur’s effort on Saturday.
And as soon as Arthur scored, he looked full of confidence and low and behold another shot from him parried into the path of Cole and it’s game over.
And that leads me to the “rub of the green” theory. We haven’t had it, or rarely since Xmas, but we did get it v Burton.
Deflected first, sending off, which most in the Bartercard thought was harsh, (after seeing it on Quest, still possibly so) and then the rebound from Arthur’s shot falling to Cole and not, as has happened so many times, to the feet of the only defender.
Mind you, after they had cleared one off the line and their keeper saved Gibbo’s header at 0-0 I was thinking, here we go again!!!
Watching Oxford miss 5 decent chances at Plymouth and lose 1-0 was worrying as they will come and have a go as they are now just outside the play-offs, but if we show the same application, hopefully we will match them!!

Absolutely. Don't shoot, don't score. Agreed about Arthur, he needed the confidence and you could tell that goal had a positive impact shirt n his game thereafter.

And a sending off against us, and a penalty against Wigan. Luck starting to turn?
