Lamin Jagne

I wonder how many remember when Carlos signed for our club that we also signed on the same day a young midfielder called Lamin Jagne.

Lamin featured in a number of reserve games and quite a few who saw them both play thought that of the two that Lamion was more likely to make it rather than Carlos.

Lamin put in some very strong midfield performances being difficult to shake off the ball and quire aggressive in the tackle.

He was given a one year contract but that was not renewed when it came to an end.

Not sure what has happened to him since but at the time looked an exciting prospect...to some of us at least.

From what I remember, it was injuries that disrupted his chance to show off his true potential. When he was released, it was a shame to see him go but we couldn’t have kept a player who didn’t show enough - even if that wasn’t necessarily his fault.

Didn't he do his cruciate and have a lengthy rehabilitation at the same time as A-Jay?

He signed for the Macclesfield phoenix club. Transfermkt has three central midfielders at FC Macclesfield; LaminJagne age 22, Danny Whitaker age 40 and Robbie Savage age 45. So he should get some game time there
