Crazy isn't it and with Salford winning 3-0 so far this evening I would imagine he's going to struggle to feature anytime soon. Strange, very strange.

I wonder how much say he had in it? Perhaps Salford have 'bought' him from United, so this is about his future? Perhaps he's signed a pre-contract (or whatever it is called) that United have allowed him to do (although in that case, what not a simple transfer?)

Regardless, I'm sure it is a money issue more than anything.

Is it possible his loan to us doesn't officially expire until 31 January.

I *THINK* his loan to us was season long but obviously, with a recall clause.

Domestic clubs can't sign players on pre contracts. Only foreign clubs can do that after Jan 1st if the players contract expires in June.

They simply terminated his loan with us to loan him to Salford.

Pointless, if he's not getting as much game time and is unhappy leaving here, they should have left it until the end of the season and honoured the loan.
