This Truck here on this photo was taken during the Minors strike in 1984 at Glasson Dock(Lancaster), one of the Minors chucked a slab of concrete through my Fathers truck window knocking him unconscious and into a coma for 2 weeks and off work for 3yrs lucky to have survived it.

However “The Daily Mirror” more or less said my Father had teased them with his wage packet waving cash at them and deserved it, when he got paid by cheque, and was all for the coal miners and had voted Labour and read “The Daily Mirror” all his working life.

The Mirror do tell whoppers. They were quite prepared to help a racist , Marxist get into 10 Downing Street last month. No wonder their circulation is heading towards that of "The Guardian"

JB has paid his first transfer fee in his managerial career to date by signing Tom Walker from Salford City for an undisclosed amount. Here's hoping that it works out for all concerned.

FGR have made a couple of signings that could result in Aaron Collins being made available for a loan deal as one of the signings is a striker who FGR have paid £25,000 for.

Wouldn't be surprised if Aaron is under the radar of JB once again.

Just a pity that we possibly wouldn't be of interest to Aaron ( ) but football can be full of surprises so maybe he could be seen once again at The Globe assuming that DA would be interested in the lad.

There was no fee for Redshaw. There may have a chunky signing on fee to the play but alty got nothing, he was there on a 7 day notice contract

In the age of 1 or 2 year deals, hardly any clubs pay fees for players. The odd club with a wealthy owner might but the majority of lower league clubs don't pay fees. I am sure there are lots of other managers in the same boat.
