o/t Time running out for Bournemouth

Very sad all this stuff :?

"The club needs around £32,000 to settle a winding-up petition in the High Court on Wednesday, while the taxman is understood to be chasing them for around £200,000.

Player and staff wages are still outstanding for last month, although Eddie Howe’s squad received 40 per cent of their monthly salaries, delivered in cash to the changing room following Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Port Vale. "

I'd really hate for us to go the same way, but I'm sure our board will continue their prudence in soundly seeing us through the next 16 months or so until we open our money-spinning stadium. :)

Peter McGuigan and the board are shrewd business operators who are well aware what is going wrong at many other clubs. Hence they are building us a complex with alternative income streams rather than just a fancy stadium with sole income coming from 2,000 or so spectators every other week, which is not sustainable income in the long term for a football league team. They are giving us the best possible chance to survive and prosper in the future.

The futures bright, the futures Morecambe ;)

I don't know about that, they could be a bit short this week - I got my quid back off the vice Chairman the other day, but as he only had a £2 coin, I owe him a quid now

Cheers, Graham ;)

Graham's extra maths lessons (his name for detention) paid off then.
