Big guns reported to the FA

Big guns reported to the FA

Postby DTSJim » Fri Jul 18, 2008 6:52 pm

Tottenham Hotspur have filed an official complaint about Manchester United following Alex Ferguson's recent comments about Dimitar Berbatov after they refused an offer for the striker.

Apparently they've been tapping him up and talking to his agents without the clubs permission.

Get ready for a flimsy financial punishment from the FA.

Well you might be right, but I think SAF is just on a fishing trip and Levy has taken the bate.
Look what he has had to put up with over Ronwhatshisname. It's his turn with the rod now.
It will be easy for SAF because he is fishing for a fish that wants to be caught.
I would say SAF has just said enough not to get in to any hot water,Levy is under pressure
to keep the Bulgarian and he is loosing the battle, thats why he has turned to the FA.

You see I thought the coherent argument in favour of Luton Towns harsh treatment was 'Rules are rules , break the rules and suffer the consequences etc.. etc...'

Illegal approaches
• Neither Clubs nor Agents shall make approaches or
enter into negotiations regarding a Player unless the
Player’s current Club has given permission to do so
or the relevant rules permit; (J.9)
• Clubs shall not attempt to induce or coerce a Player
to breach his representation contract with his
Agent. (J.10)

Now do the same rules apply to ALL football clubs ??????
