Yet another excellent, entertaining match. Keep that up and the crowds will improve. As always seems the case, when they're up against it, the lads give 200%. Who would have thought that they'd have won 2-0 with all the injuries and suspensions against them. I really don't envy Jim and Ken when the usual first choice players are back again - some hard and painful decisions for them to make!

McGowan kept their No15 quiet and had another excellent match. If he stays injury free and keeps his head, he's going places. I thought Bailey was also excellent - very calm and composed and got himself in the right places - some good accurate passing. Bondswell also looked good for what we saw of him.

Considering Goodall seemed out of favour last season and spent many matches on the bench, he's really showing his worth now. Excellent as centre back yesterday to add to his brilliant performances as defensive midfielder. Kenyon has also "grown up" a lot and isn't making the silly mistakes he often made last year.

I thought Ryan, Mullin and Miller were all excellent up front. OK, Ryan and Miller havn't scored yet, but they both get into good positions, hold the ball well, and distract the defenders, letting our midfielders in to do the business. More importantly, Ryan and Miller aren't selfish - they're more than happy to pass for a better opportunity. Their goals will come! Mullin seems to improve every game now he's getting proper game time.

Not sure the discounted pricing increased the attendances. It wouldn't surprise me if they actually had less revenue due to the regulars who would have come anyway!

Crowds down yesterday all over the grounds. Carling & Johnstone Paints never good turn outs for lower league clubs. Hopefully our fickle regulars will return when we are on a winning run or close to the play offs next year.

Thankfully, we weren't the lowest crowd yesterday.

Was a few lower than ours.

Five home games in less than a month is a lot of money to fork out, will be interesting to see what the gate is next if we keep playing like we are.

You know how at the end of the season awards, we clap for the goal of the season award and the loudest wins? Should we be warming our hands for Devitt's goal last night?

Barks v Pompey for me so far.Must have run 65 yards and straight to us when it hit the back of the net.
I'm convinced there will be plenty to pick from by the end of the season though.
The more we have to choose from the happier I'll be.

Barkhuizen is one of several good signings and what impresses me is the way the squad have jelled. There is a real togetherness and they graft for each other and a common purpose. This is a real team masterfully pulled together by Jim & Kenny and with a little good luck on the injuries front (as opposed to the bad luck we have currently) this could be a special season.
Pick em off one by one lads, Yeovil up next.

o/t but Gareth Bale scored the winner for Wales tonight, they are now higher than England in the world rankings.
Wonder if they can beat San Marino after the Yeovil game
