Never got an apology from him when he didn't turn up to the Lancaster Uni Rag Ball in about 1972.

The excuse given to the crowd by the promoters after much delay was..'Elton won't be coming as
he has picked up a bird at Charnock Richard'....Yeah right

I must have gone to see someone else on the bill as I am not an Elton fan..could have been Wishbone Ash.

Rory Gallagher never failed to turn up.... :D :D

He certainly did perform at Lancaster Uni in the early 70s

He stayed at the home of a former work colleague of mine, she is married to the guy who was the sound engineer at the Uni.......she didn't care for him....I actually saw him at Colwyn Bay on Saturday and the stewards there were fine........not like soccer stewards at all....roll on Crooklands on Sunday.....

Not disputing that he played at Lancaster Uni at some point, but at the Rag Ball that I paid for a ticket, he failed to turn up.

Sorry, wasn't insinuating you were wrong re the rag ball, only issue I have with that is Elton John.....Rag Ball...not often heard in same sentence, always been flambuoyant ...lol....used to get to a lot of gigs there in mid-late 70,s

Who's looking after the children while Daddy and Daddy are doing their own thing?
We all have Human Rights, but they come with Human Responsibilities. Ignore the latter and you risk losing the rights to the former.

People who campaign for equality and freedom of speech amaze me. Disagree with them, and you'll be shouted down.
