We'll probably have to wait till next weekend at least before we know more on this one. Would Craig really pass up the chance of playing in League 1?

In 2006 when Hereford got promoted from the Conference he passed up the chance of playing League football by leaving them and joining Morecambe

Maybe more to the point would Torquay want Stanner's if they get into League 1?

A promoted team certainly keeps a few of the players that got them there. Stanners has been their best player according to many in his short stay, so I would say Yes they would.

..and if my memory is correct, it was JH who expressed his insistance that the club did all it could to ensure that Stanners joined us. On the strength of that our Vice Chairman did the business and the deal was announced at the Sponsors Evening to great applause from those amongst us who knew of his credentials.

SMc took the word of JH on the value of Stanners and the rest is history.

I think when Stanners hears this it will swing his signature our way :-

Can't see a player signing for a club when he won't know who the manager is going to be. What if he signed and they appointed SMc
