Bladdy predictive text! From that interview it is clear Sammy wants the powers to throw more money at it as we have no transfer kitty. I think the figures released tomorrow will be interesting reading

What figures are being released tomorrow? He didn't sound happy in his interview, I thought we had one of the larger wage budgets on the league, do we not have 31 players on the books?

He even had the cheek to mention youth players????

Yes, I think the board would have been very interested to watch that interview.

MFC AGM tomorrow so the financial statement for the last 12m will be released.

The interview wasn't all about wages, it was about agents turning us away cos we don't want to pay a transfer fee , so we have to duck, bob and weave with young kids. He doesn't want the hard work to go down the pan and show on the CV

It was about players and agents turning us away because we cannot afford to pay their wage demands, not transfer fees.

" Let's be fair I can't go out and err ......... I can get certain players in on free transfers and duck and dive with young players , but if I want to push the boat out I am turned away, not by the Chairman but by agents and players"

Means a bit if both to me

Probably, but players and agents wouldn't have a say in transfer fees - only the players club would determine that. They would only be able to demand a certain salary.

I do feel vindicated by Mark Lillis. People thought I was mad by saying the away dressing room is one of the reasons for the poor performance at The Globe. My belief is that the old Christie dressing rooms were a shit tip and a fifth the size of those at the Globe and that was part of the intimidatory atmosphere at Christie. As Lills and Ryan Lowe said that's all changed. Now we roll out the red carpet for the opposition. It's us whose found it hard to make it home and away teams love it. Poor football is another reason but we've created a level playing field and we're suffering for it.

As for Sammy's comments, he seemed to imply that the reason he wanted to quit was nothing to do with his and the team's performance but because he wasn't being given enough financial backing and 'other reasons'. Disappointed he can't understand how to manage a budget but all sounded a bit sinister.

We're certainly missing his ears as sails. Could do with rudder Haining to give us some direction at the back.
