To be fair, Glen & Dave on The Bay both said they thought we should have had a penalty a few minutes before they got theirs. While they are both biased towards us, they do try to give opinions that are balanced. Glen accepted that theirs was a penalty all be it 'a weak one'. The point he was making was one of a lack of consistency, if our appeal wasn't one, then theirs wasn't either. To that end, we've not had a fair rub of the green this season (I posted photos from Bradford where Spencer is clearly being fouled repeatedly but we weren't given them). We were on top at the time of our penalty appeal, that decision and the decision to give theirs probably changed the whole game.
I don't think it is an excuse for an appalling season, but it hasn't helped.
