This guy is no shrimp

A 6'5" Latvian striker is currently training with the club following a recommendation of an Irish agent.

When asked by the Radio Lancashire Sports Reporter for the guys name, Sammy said 'I haven't a clue' However he did go on to say that in our situation you have to try all options 'cause you never know what may crop up!

;)

Indeed! I was standing next to the 'Radio Lancashire Sports Reporter' (the brilliant Mr Tim Padfield), and yes, a 6 ft 5 Latvian, under 21.

I suggested we just call him Steve, Sammy agreed.

Would certainly be different!
