O/T Gordon Club - still open?

Asking on behalf of someone else on another forum:

I tried phoning there a few days ago to ask how much the membership was, but the number was 'not in use'. It had been 418101 for as long as I've been a member (1993) I'm normally in Morecambe at the end of the year, but funds were lacking, sadly. Can anyone tell me if the place is still open? I know it was being refurbished in September when I was down. I take it they finished it. I have e-mailed the CIU head office, that was days ago but I suppose holidays are still in the way, I tried searching local papers online but nothing showed, not recently anyway.
